Man charged after allegedly breaking into home near Lillooet and hiding in closet

LILLOOET, B.C. — A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged after reportedly breaking into a home near Lillooet.

In a news release, Lillooet RCMP say they were notified of a break-in in progress at a home on Highway 99 Saturday (March 18) at around 7 a.m.

Police say the resident was not home but was seeing live security footage showing an unknown man inside.

Lillooet officers entered the home and found a man wearing a mask hiding in a small closet.
