KAMLOOPS — A B.C. Supreme Court trial has begun in the 2020 killing of Paul Samuel Whitten Jr. in downtown Kamloops.

Jason Michael Holm is charged with second degree murder in the case.

Whitten was found in his Clarke Street home on August 1, 2020, suffering from stab wounds. He died in hospital.

Whitten and Holm were next-door neighbours on Clarke Street. At the time, RCMP said there was no evidence linking the killing to organized crime or the drug trade.
