Emergency department at Merritt’s Nicola Valley Hospital closed Friday

MERRITT, B.C. — Merritt residents will be without their emergency department Friday (Mar. 10).

In a news release, Interior Health says the ER at Nicola Valley Hospital will be closed from 8:00 a.m. Friday until 8:00 a.m. Saturday due to a physician vacancy.

All other inpatient services will remain available.

Those in need of emergency care are asked to call 9-1-1 or visit the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
