RCMP swarm Lac du Bois area of Batchelor Heights after weapons complaint

UPDATE (1:50 p.m.): RCMP say the police presence is clearing up and the public is no longer being asked to avoid the area.

More information is expected later this afternoon.

EARLIER: RCMP have rushed to an address in Batchelor Heights after a weapons report.

Details are few, but the address is reported to be in the 2000-block of Lac du Bois Road. Witnesses report police vehicles speeding into the area, including unmarked Emergency Response Team (ERT) vehicles.
