Police seize 480 grams of suspected fentanyl in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit seized 480 grams of suspected fentanyl in Williams Lake.

In a news release, Williams Lake RCMP say officers found a vehicle at a location known to be a “drug nexus” in the city. According to police, the vehicle was associated to previous drug files, including a drug trafficking investigation in Chilliwack.

After the vehicle’s second stop in the area, police say they arrested the occupants in relation to a trafficking investigation, then searched the vehicle and the occupants and found the fentanyl.

All occupants were released as the investigation continues.
