13 Blazers record a point in 8-1 win over Rockets

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers had their guns blazing at the Sandman Centre on Friday (Mar.3), scoring six consecutive goals en route to a 8-1 victory over the Kelowna Rockets.

In the first period Logan Stankoven would open the scoring, tallying his 30th of the campaign on the powerplay. Three more goals would follow by the Blazers courtesy of Matthew Seminoff, Logan Bairos, and Jakub Demek. The Blazers would head into the first intermission with a 4-0 lead.

The second period would see the Blazers build off of their hot start. Caedan Bankier and Ryan Hofer would find the back of the net to give Kamloops well in the driver’s seat heading into the second intermission.

‘Early in the third period, Ethan Neutens would tally his first on the year. Ending any hope of Kamloops netminder Dylan Ernst securing a shutout.
