Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on the North Shore

UPDATE (10:45 a.m.): Kamloops RCMP provided further details, saying the person struck by a southbound SUV is a woman in her 30s.

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — A person was sent to hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on McKenzie Avenue Wednesday (March 1) evening.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn told CFJC Today police were called to the intersection of McKenzie Avenue and Marcel Street on the North Shore at around 6 p.m. where the person was struck while attempting to cross McKenzie Avenue.

Evelyn says the driver is cooperating with police.
