KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops nurse has been suspended for, in part, sexually harassing a student colleague.

In a notice posted to its website Wednesday (Mar. 1), the B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) says it has entered into a consent agreement with Matthew Danchak.

In its statement, BCCNM says Danchak is being disciplined for sexually harassing a student nurse under his supervision and for accessing a colleague’s computer, which is against privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Danchak is subject to a one-month suspension and public reprimand. In addition, he will not be able to supervise nursing students or orient new staffers for six months.
