Impaired driving believed to be a factor in Westsyde Road head-on crash Sunday: RCMP
KAMLOOPS — Alcohol impairment is believed to be a factor in a Sunday afternoon (Feb. 26) crash in Westsyde.
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to Westsyde Road near Parkview Drive on Sunday at about 1:10 p.m. Once there, they found a head-on collision between a Honda Civic and Ford Ranger.
Evelyn says several people in the truck suffered minor injuries. A passenger in the Honda had serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the Honda was arrested for impaired driving. He has since been released with a court date and a driving prohibition.
