Driver caught doing 164 km/h near Falkland

FALKLAND, B.C. — An out of province driver had their vehicle impounded for excessive speeding yesterday.

In a social media post, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say a B.C. Highway Patrol officer caught a vehicle going 164 km/h on Highway 97 near Falkland Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The driver reportedly told the officer he was in the process of moving to B.C.

The driver was issued a $483 fine and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
