Warrants issued for Kamloops man on weapons, assault charges

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are asking for help tracking down a Kamloops man wanted on a pair of warrants.
Mitchell James Nesbitt, 32, had a warrant issued on Jan. 31 for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon while prohibited and firearms possession. On Feb. 9, a separate warrant was issued against Nesbitt for assault with a weapon.
“One of the warrants is related to an investigation that began in August 2021,” said detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “If the public has information on his whereabouts, please contact us sooner than later so that we may carry out an arrest.”
