Batch of methamphetamine circulating in Kamloops contains fentanyl: Interior Health

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health issued an alert for a batch of toxic drugs circulating in Kamloops.

The drugs are sold as methamphetamine and present as colourless crystals and sugar.

Testing shows the drugs contain fentanyl and sugar. That brings a severe risk of overdose and death. Other users may experience drowsiness or loss of consciousness.

The alert will stay in place until next Saturday (Feb. 25).
