Rivers FC kicks off second season on April 30

KAMLOOPS — Open wide for some soccer.

League1BC, a men’s and women’s semi-pro soccer league in B.C., unveiled the schedule for its second season in 2023. Rivers FC in Kamloops, partaking in its second season, will be one of eight clubs competing.

Rivers FC’s men’s club finished fifth in the League1BC table with three wins, five losses, and four draws, while the women finished seventh with one win, 10 losses and one draw.

Each club is scheduled to play one another twice in 2023: one at home and one away.

Rivers FC kicks off their 2023 campaign at McArthur Island on April 30 against Altitude FC from North Vancouver. The full schedule is:

  • April 30 – v. Altitude FC (North Vancouver)
  • May 7 – at Whitecaps FC (Vancouver)
  • May 13 – v. Nautsa’mawt FC (Vancouver)
  • May 21 – at Altitude FC (North Vancouver)
  • May 28 – at Unity FC (Langley)
  • June 3 – at TSS Rovers (Burnaby)
  • June 10 – v. Highlanders FC (Victoria)
  • June 16 – at Harbourside FC (Nanaimo)
  • June 18 – at Highlanders FC (Victoria)
  • June 25 – v. Harbourside FC (Nanaimo)
  • July 2 – v. TSS Rovers (Burnaby)
  • July 8 – v. Unity FC (Langley)
  • July 15 – at Nautsa’mawt FC (Vancouver)
  • July 23 – v. Whitecaps FC (Vancouver)
