Kamloops RCMP arrest youth after reported threat to Westsyde Secondary

KAMLOOPS — A youth was arrested by Kamloops RCMP Tuesday (Feb. 14) after reportedly threatening Westsyde Secondary School on Bebek Road.

In a news release issued Wednesday (Feb. 15) morning, RCMP say School District 73 issued a hold and secure for school, then lifted it prior to the end of the school day once police had the suspect in custody.

Police say no further information will be released to protect the identity of the suspect. Anyone with information related to the reported threat is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
