Feb 13, 2023 | 5:29 AM

KAMLOOPS — An additional 10 centimetres of snow is expected to fall on the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt Monday (Feb. 13).

In an updated online weather statement, Environment Canada says periods of snow will continue on the stretch of Highway 5 before snow tapers off early Tuesday (Feb. 14) morning.

The weather agency previously stated Sunday (Feb. 12) snowfall accumulations could reach up to 25 centimetres during the period of the weather warning.

Drivers should be prepared to adjust their driving to compensate for the changing road conditions. Environment Canada warns weather in the mountains can change suddenly, resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
