Stankoven extends point streak to 33 games, Blazers defeat Blades 5-2
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers secured themselves another win on home ice, defeating the Saskatoon Blades 5-2 on Friday (Feb.10).
Olen Zellweger opened the scoring for the Blazers in the first period with his 17th of the season. That goal would mark his 150th career tally in the WHL.
Additionally, Blazers captain Logan Stankoven recorded an assist on the goal, extending his point streak to 33 games.
However, the Blades would answer back with two straight goals heading into the first intermission to make it 2-1 thanks to Trevor Wong and Aidan De La Gorgendiere.
