Merritt emergency department will be closed Wednesday

MERRITT, B.C. — Merritt residents will be without emergency room services Wednesday (Feb. 8).

In a news release, Interior Health says the ER at Nicola Valley Hospital will be closed Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. due to a “physician vacancy.”

Patients requiring emergency medical care are advised to call 9-1-1 or visit Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

IH notes other inpatient services will continue at the hospital Wednesday.
