TRU women’s basketball upsets UNBC; Timberwolves exact revenge on the men’s side
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — The University of Northern B.C. Timberwolves men’s basketball team used a balanced attack to down the visiting Thompson Rivers University WolfPack 87-73 Friday night (Feb. 3).
Justin Sunga led the way for the TWolves with 17 points. TRU got 14-point efforts from three players — Asher Mayan, Denys Bachurin and Daniel Bost — in the loss.
UNBC moves to 7-and-10 on the season, while TRU drops to 5-and-12, mired in a seven-game losing streak.
On the women’s side, TRU came out firing and upset UNBC, 62-58.
