Storm host division rival Grizzlies Saturday — and unleash the wiener dogs

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm will host their division rivals at home Saturday night (Feb. 4) in the Revelstoke Grizzlies. However, they won’t be the only ones hitting the ice at McArthur Island Arena.

Fifty dachshund dogs will put their paws to the test on ice this evening as the Storm host their annual wiener dog race. A 50/50 draw, silent auction and multiple prizes will handed out at the game. All proceeds will go to the Angel’s Animal Rescue Society.

The Storm and Grizzles are facing each other for the second consecutive night, with the Storm coming off a 3-2 victory on the road Friday night. The Grizzlies sit first place in the Doug Birks division at 27-6-3-4 while the Storm are nine points behind at 24-12-4 on the season. Puck drop is set for 8:00 p.m.
