Drugs seized after North Shore traffic stop for vehicle dragging metal
KAMLOOPS — A routine traffic stop led to a big drug seizure on the Kamloops North Shore early Thursday morning (Feb. 2).
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says an officer was patrolling in the area of Selkirk Avenue and 12th Street at about 2:50 a.m. Thursday when he noticed a vehicle with a piece of metal dragging from its rear bumper.
Evelyn says the driver did not cooperate when the officer asked for license and was arrested for obstruction. After further checks, the officer determined the man was a prohibited driver.
