Investigation underway following report of assault with a weapon; one sent to hospital

KAMLOOPS — A large police presence is visible on Bossert Avenue as officers respond to a weapons assault report.

“(Today) around 11:35 a.m., multiple Kamloops RCMP frontline officers attended an address on the 2300-block of Bossert Avenue where a person was located with injuries, the extent of which are currently unknown. The person was transported to hospital by ambulance,” wrote Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

The public is asked to please avoid the area while police are on scene conducting the investigation.
