COLDSTREAM, B.C. — The investigation into the discovery of two bodies at a home in Coldstream has police hoping someone saw something or caught it on video.

The bodies were found by RCMP in a mobile home in the Kalview Trailer Park on Clerke Road Tuesday (Jan. 17) at around 5:30 a.m. An injured man was also found and taken to hospital and another man was taken into custody as a suspect.

No information about who the victims were, or how they may have died, has been released.

Investigators with the RCMP’s Southeast District Major Crime Unit are asking the public to come forward with any dash cam video or other details from around that time, or information on a vehicle fire shortly after on Francis Road in the B.X. which may — or may not — have been connected to the suspicious deaths.

Specifically, police are looking for anyone with any dash cam footage from between 5 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2023, at the following locations:

  • Highway 97 (Okanagan Highway) between College Way and Kalamalka Lakeview Drive in Coldstream; and
  • Francis Road between 25 Avenue and 35 Avenue in Vernon.

“Investigators have reason to believe that there are people out there who may have witnessed the events leading to the vehicle fire on Francis Road and are asking anyone who has yet to speak with the police to come forward,” Staff Sgt. Kris Clark said.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit information line at 1-877-987-8477 or Crime Stoppers.
