Logan Lake man facing charges after Tuesday arrest in Rayleigh
KAMLOOPS — A Logan Lake man is facing theft and firearm charges after an arrest in Rayleigh Tuesday (Jan. 17).
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says an officer was driving on Cammeray Road at about 10:20 a.m. Tuesday when he was flagged down by a pedestrian.
The person drew the officer’s attention to a man slumped over in the driver’s seat of an idling truck parked near the intersection of Spurraway Road and Huckleberry Place. A check revealed the truck had been reported as stolen.
“With the assistance of backup, the officer took a man into custody without incident,” said Evelyn. “A search related to the investigation also led to the seizure of a firearm and ammunition.”
