Kamloops’ Kendra Woodland stops pucks for Team Canada at FISU University World Games

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — Right now, some of the top university athletes from around the world are taking part in the FISU University World Games in Lake Placid, New York. The event is a multi-sport festival much like the Olympics.
There is a Kamloops athlete at the games who has helped the women’s hockey team to a berth in the semi-finals on Friday.
Thursday (Jan. 19), CFJC Sports caught up with Kendra Woodland, who plays goal for the University of New Brunswick Reds. Woodland has yet to allow a goal in the tournament.
