Break-in suspect sent to hospital, man arrested after reported North Shore assault

KAMLOOPS — A break-in suspect was taken to hospital and a man was arrested after a reported assault on the North Shore Tuesday (Jan. 10) night.
In a news release issued Wednesday (Jan. 11) morning, Kamloops RCMP say they responded to the 600-block of Fortune Drive at around 7:45 p.m. for a break and enter report, followed up by an assault.
Cpl. Crystal Evelyn states the assault appeared to have started inside a home and worked its way outside. The break-in suspect was sent to hospital via ambulance with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The other man was later released with conditions and a court date.
