B.C.’s New Year’s baby born in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD— The first baby of 2023 in British Columbia, was born into the world in Abbotsford.

The girl was born at 12:02 a.m. at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre.

She weighed 5 lbs. 10 oz.

The provincial government announced the news via a tweet this morning (Jan. 1), congratulating the family.

The name of the child or the family was not released.
