Downed wire knocks out power for 2,000 customers near Sun Peaks

SUN PEAKS, B.C. — Around 2,000 customers in and around Sun Peaks are without power.

According to BC Hydro’s outage map, a wire down east of Vinsula Knouff Lake Road north of Whitecroft has knocked out power for 2,027 customers since 9:47 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 21).

BC Hydro says crews are on site and power is expected to be restored at around 1:30 p.m.
