Ashcroft urgent care centre closed Sunday due to limited nursing staff availability

UPDATE (Dec. 19): Interior Health says Ashcroft’s UPCC reopened Monday.

EARLIER: ASHCROFT — Ashcroft’s Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) is closed Sunday, December 18, due to limited nursing staff availability.

In a news release from Interior Health on Saturday, it states that services will unavailable due to the service interruption.

The UPCC is usually open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

It is not specified if the centre will be open for service Monday, December 19.

Interior Health says those requiring care can go to the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops while the centre is closed for the day.

Additional information will be provided when it’s made available.
