Nearly $5,000 in items raised for Christmas Amalgamated in RCMP’s Stuff a Cruiser fundraiser
KAMLOOPS — Board games, toys, and clothes filled up the back of a Kamloops RCMP SUV and crime prevention van over the weekend.
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP say Sgt. Safety Bear and officers backed their vehicles up to the exits of Real Canadian Superstore for Stuff a Cruiser on Saturday (Dec. 10) and collected unwrapped gifts and donations for Christmas Amalgamated.
“We know this year has been financially challenging for many residents and are incredibly grateful and impressed by the generosity they continue to show in support of the annual fundraiser,” Cpl. Dana Napier says.
Police say shoppers gave nearly $5,000 worth of items and more than $800 in cash and gift cards between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
