KAMLOOPS– Family members of 43-year-old Kelowna resident Joseph Driscoll, last seen a month ago in Valleyview after attending a concert, have been making the two-hour commute to the Tournament Capital daily, in search of answers to what happened the night of his disappearance.

“You want to bring him home and, of course, it’s that season, where you’re just like, you just want them to be home and at this point. We really just don’t know what to grieve,” Emma Driscoll, Joseph’s sister told CFJC News.

Driscoll has been walking the areas of Valleyview and downtown in hopes of finding something that will point her in the direction of her brother.

“No matter how many steps I’ve taken in this city, I’ve always found a different tunnel or a different shrub or a different building that I haven’t accessed yet,” Driscoll said. “Until such time that I have walked and haven’t found a new thing, and you know truly until I have found my brother, I mean I’m gonna keep looking.”

Joseph Driscoll was last seen on November 12th, just before 2:00 a.m. when he was captured on video outside a Valleyview motel.

Kamloops Search and Rescue has executed three searches for Joseph, in the areas of Valleyview, Rosehill and Peterson Creek, but no trace of him was found.

KSAR said no more searches for Joseph are planned unless requested by police.

Emma Driscoll said without any new leads, police are waiting for spring for someone to find something belonging to Joesph.

“They are hoping that when warmer weather comes and people are accessing their backyards a little more, that we might be able to have some success in finding him,” Driscoll said.

“I think for any family member though, to hear that you have to wait until spring is just completely heartbreaking.”

Driscoll said her family has hired a private investigator to try to find any clues to help further their case and Joseph’s friends from work have gotten together to offer a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to Joseph’s location.

“We are going to find him and he has an entire family and a lot of friends who are also just as keen to find him, and that’s what we are going to do,” she said.

Joseph is believed to have been looking for shelter the night he went missing.

Kamloops RCMP are still urging everyone who lives or works within walking distance of Valleyview to search their property and outbuildings for evidence of Joseph being there.

“Even anything that could’ve suggested someone was there, maybe they’ve come across a sweater and didn’t really think much of it, at that time, please call us. It’s not too late,” RCMP’s Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.

Anyone with information about Joseph Driscoll’s whereabouts is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file number 2022-41053.

“I think if everyone takes that five minutes, and we can bring him home before Christmas, that would be like the ultimate miracle for us,” Emma Driscoll said.
