Kamloops man arrested after collision with police vehicle on Halston Connector
KAMLOOPS — A 28-year-old Kamloops man was charged with flight from police and obstructing a police officer after an incident on the Halston Connector Friday (Dec. 9) night.
In a news release Tuesday (Dec. 13) morning, Kamloops RCMP say Colton Reeb was released from custody and his matter is before the courts.
The charges stem from when an officer was on Halston Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. Friday and saw a black SUV with plates that didn’t match the vehicle.
After an officer followed the SUV southbound onto Schubert Drive – where a second officer was travelling northbound – RCMP say the driver allegedly attempted to evade police. RCMP say he collided with the northbound officer’s vehicle, then swerved into a driveway before coming to a rest. Police say the driver ran from the SUV prior to being arrested.
