RCMP collar North Shore break-in suspect, recover stolen items
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP nabbed an alleged thief after an early morning break-in at a North Shore business.
In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says a security alarm was tripped at about 4:45 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 7), stemming from a business in the 700-block of Sydney Avenue.
Officers found cash and electronics were taken. An image of the suspect was recorded on a surveillance camera and distributed to Kamloops RCMP members.
“Later that morning, around 7:15 a.m., a police officer attended a location on Tranquille Road in search of the suspect,” said Evelyn. “The officer not only located a suspect, but also recovered the electronics, cash, and other evidence related to the investigation.”
