Suspicious vehicle find on Kamloops North Shore yields wanted man, loaded gun, drugs

KAMLOOPS — RCMP investigating a suspicious vehicle on the Kamloops North Shore Monday (Dec. 5) arrested a wanted man.

In a news release, spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers found the vehicle in the 700-block of Downie Street just before 7:00 a.m. Monday. The vehicle had been running with its headlights on for a matter of hours.

Investigators discovered a man inside was wanted out of Yellowknife on charges related to possession of property obtained by crime.

“A search of the vehicle also led to the seizure of a loaded firearm, suspected illegal drugs, and cash,” said Cpl. Evelyn. “That investigation is ongoing and separate from the warrant execution.”

Kelowna resident Moosa Mohammand Khan, 22, was arrested and given a court date.
