KAMLOOPS — RCMP are renewing an appeal for information into the disappearance of a Kelowna man last believed to be in Kamloops.

Joseph Driscoll’s sister says at some point on November 11, Driscoll was stopped by police in his vehicle, a black 2016 Ford F-350 pickup truck with another person. RCMP impounded the truck but did not make any arrests.

Police initially informed the public of Joseph Driscoll’s disappearance on November 17.

Driscoll, 43, was captured on video on Nov. 11 at about 11:50 p.m., walking away from the Tournament Inn in Valleyview. Less than two hours later, Driscoll was captured on camera at another Valleyview motel. At about 1:45 a.m., he was seen in the 1700-block of the East Trans Canada Highway, near the Wendy’s and McDonald’s restaurants, 18 days after, his family is still looking for answers about his disappearance.

“I would just want to tell him that I love him and that I’m proud of him and I miss him so much,” Emma Driscoll, Joseph’s sister said. “We were supposed to spend Christmas together and I just want him to be home.”

Police say Driscoll was seen on security footage around the Valleyview Wendy’s and McDonald’s just before 2:00 a.m., the morning of Nov.12.

According to his sister, the Kelowna man was attending a concert in Kamloops. She told reporters her brother was in recovery for substance abuse for the last two years but believes he may have relapsed.

“He does have demons and whatnot and they may have come out on the day of the 11th,” Emma said.

Kamloops RCMP is asking Valleyview residents to check their property as well as security and dashcam video to help them find Driscoll.

Driscoll is described as:

  • 5’10” tall
  • 166 lbs
  • Bald
  • Green eyes
  • Tribal tattoos on his neck and upper back, skull tattoo on his left forearm

Anyone with information about Joseph Driscoll’s whereabouts is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file number 2022-41053.
