Jackknifed semi closes part of Coquihalla between Merritt and Hope

MERRITT — DriveBC is reporting that a jackknifed semi-truck has closed part of the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt.

The highway is closed in both directions and drivers are told to expect delays.

A detour is in place via Highway 5A and Highway 3.

The closure is reportedly between Exit 183: Othello Rd and Exit 286: Merritt – 97C for more than 100 km.

An assessment is in progress and updated information will be provided when it’s made available.
