WolfPack women’s basketball focused on building culture under new head coach
KAMLOOPS — Todd Warnick is the third head coach of the TRU Women’s Basketball team in the past three seasons. And while he’s new in Kamloops, he’s no stranger to stepping in and rebuilding a program.
“It’s a matter of trying to navigate what [the players] do well, and areas that we’re challenged in,” Warnick tells CFJC Today. “It’s a very young group, and in Canada West, youth is — one on hand, a very exciting, energetic thing — but on the other hand, in order to learn you have to make mistakes. We are making mistakes and learning.”
Now on the fourth coach during her time with the program, fifth-year forward Megan Rouault is accustomed to learning the expectations that come with a new coach.
