New Summit Drive traffic signal to be activated soon: City of Kamloops
Nov 21, 2022 | 5:24 PM
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says it will soon activate a new set of traffic lights in a busy area of Sahali.
The lights have already been installed on Summit Drive at the Trans Canada Highway exit between Notre Dame Drive and Springhill Drive but are not yet active.
In a news release issued Monday (Nov. 21), the city says the signal will help make the intersection safer, especially for pedestrians and cyclists.
Southbound motorists will continue through the area without needing to stop. Those turning left onto the highway will be subject to the signal, as will northbound motorists, as well as all pedestrians and cyclists.
