Woman fails breath test after driving to Lillooet RCMP detachment
LILLOOET, B.C. — Lillooet RCMP didn’t have to go far to arrest an intoxicated driver earlier this week — she drove right to the police station.
According to a report from the detachment, the woman pulled up to the detachment on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 13) at 4:00 p.m. Two men were passengers in the vehicle.
One of the men entered the detachment for information. When an officer recognized him as a prohibited driver, the officer asked him how he arrived at the station. He replied that his girlfriend drove him there.
When officers noted the woman in the driver’s seat of the vehicle outside, they also recalled witnessing her consuming alcohol earlier that afternoon.
