Interior Health announces overnight closure at Merritt emergency department

MERRITT, B.C. — Merritt residents will have to travel for emergency care Tuesday night (Nov. 15).

Interior Health says there will be a temporary service interruption that closes the emergency room at Nicola Valley Hospital overnight.

In a news release, IH says emergency services will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. Tuesday until 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The closure is due to unexpected limited staffing availability.
