WolfPack men’s basketball squad opens season with 84-49 loss

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Men’s Basketball Team opened their season Friday (Nov. 4) night with a loss.

In an 84-49 dominant effort by the Winnipeg Wesmen, TRU couldn’t keep up with the hot shooting of Winnipeg.

Shooting 31 of 71 from the floor overall equating to a 43.7% field goal percentage and Winnipeg also hounded the boards outrebounding TRU 43-28.

Defensively, the Wesman capitalized off of second-chance points turning TRU over 27 times and getting 18 steals in the game.
