Rash of overdoses in Kamloops leads to drug alert

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health has issued a drug alert for Kamloops after a spate of overdoses in the community.

The alert, issued Thursday (Nov. 3), states multiple non-fatal and fatal overdoses have taken place within Kamloops and its surrounding area in recent days.

The alert does not touch on what type of drugs have triggered the alert.

Drug users are warned not to use alone and to get their drugs checked before using.
