Modifications at the Lower Nicola Eco-Depot

MERRITT, B.C. — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has released more details about the modified Lower Nicola Eco-Depot.
Officials say customers must pay using Eco-Card, credit card, or charge accounts as debit cannot be accepted until point of sale service can be setup again.
When it comes to figuring out the amount of waste, the weigh scales were damaged. But the TNRD says tipping fees will be based on volume, and potential fees are based on load size or cubic metre rate.
Even though these modifications are in place, the hours of the depot are not changing. The Lower Nicola Eco-Depot will be open between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
