BC Housing says no imminent announcement on temporary shelter operator
KAMLOOPS — BC Housing will not be naming a new operator for two temporary shelters in the city, contrary what sources told CFJC Today on Friday.
Following CMHA decision not to operate the shelters, the City of Kamloops said it was in contact with Out of the Cold, which operated the Stuart Wood shelter three days a week last winter with federal funding.
CFJC Today reached out to Out of the Cold, which said it could not conduct an interview with an announcement from BC Housing coming Monday (Oct. 31).
BC Housing responded to an email on Monday saying an announcement on a shelter operator is not imminent.
