Blazers stomp Chiefs 7-1 Saturday

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers came out on top beating the Spokane Chiefs dominantly 7-1 Saturday (October 29).

In the second game of a home-and-home series, the Blazers battled the Chiefs in Spokane after previously winning 5-1 Friday the night before.

The Blazers stars were showing out throughout the night as Logan Stankoven had two goals, Daylan Kuefler had two goals and an assist and Fraser Minten added a goal and two assists.

Winning their second straight game, the Blazers improve their record to 7-3-1-1.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, drop to 3-8-0-0 and currently sit in the last spot in the WHL Western Conference.

Spokane added their only goal of the night late in the third period as Grady Lane scored his second goal of the season.

Kamloops now gets prepared for Kelowna as they take on the Rockets next weekend at Prospera Place.

The Blazers play the Rockets on November 5, puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.
