Quesnel man celebrates $500K Daily Grand win

QUESNEL, B.C. — A Quesnel man is $500,000 richer.

This after purchasing a winning Daily Grand Prize ticket back on April 4.

Thomas Mercer is a cable barge operator and bought his ticket from the Super Save on Cariboo Highway on his way home from work. He took some time to process the win before coming forward earlier this month to claim his prize.

“It was hard to wrap my brain around it,” he said.

Mercer plans to take a trip to somewhere warm with his winnings.
