Woman survives after being hit by semi in Valleyview

KAMLOOPS — A woman is lucky to be alive after she was hit by a semi truck in Valleyview early Tuesday morning (Oct. 25).

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says at about 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, an officer came across a collision between a semi-truck and a pedestrian on the eastbound Trans Canada Highway at Oriole Road.

“The woman was taken to and remains in hospital,” said Evelyn. “The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time, but she is expected to survive.”
