Police watchdog leading investigation into Monday night incident in Aberdeen

KAMLOOPS — B.C.’s police watchdog has confirmed it is looking into an incident in the Aberdeen area of Kamloops Monday night (Oct. 24).

No details have been released, but social media reports Monday told of a large police presence on Pacific Way.

The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. (IIO) says more details will be released later Tuesday.

The IIO investigates to determine whether police action or inaction played a role in a member of the public suffering serious injury or death.
