Williams Lake Airport gets funding to upgrade snow-clearing equipment

KAMLOOPS – The Williams Airport is receiving more than a half million federal dollars to support the purchase of a snowblower to service the runway and apron areas of the facility.
Minister of Transport, Omar Alghabra made the announcement today (Oct. 19) as part of Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program.
“Investments like these will ensure that our air sector comes out strong as we enter post-pandemic recovery, and help us keep our commitment to building safer, stronger communities,” said Alghabra.
In total more than $14 million dollars in funding was handed out to eight airports across the province to support safety projects.
