Hockey Canada announces women’s hockey team coaching staff for upcoming season
Hockey Canada announced its coaching staff for the women’s national team on Wednesday.
Troy Ryan, who recently agreed to a four-year contract extension, remains at the helm. The extension, signed in August, makes him the longest-tenured head coach of a national women’s team.
Ryan, 50, took over from Perry Pearn midway through the 2019-2020 season and has since led the team to consecutive world titles and an Olympic gold medal in February.
He will be joined by returning assistants Kori Cheverie, Caroline Ouellette, Doug Derraugh and goaltending coach Brad Kirkwood.
