LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — Robin Smith is returning to the mayor’s chair in Logan Lake.
Smith ran away with the mayor’s race in Saturday’s (Oct. 15) election, finishing with 71.5 per cent of the vote. Challenger Jacqueline Newman garnered 27.9 per cent.
This was the first mayor’s race in which Smith has had a competitor. She was acclaimed to the mayor’s chair in both 2014 and 2018.
Three of the four incumbents running for council spots were re-elected — Peter Martell, Marion Bell and Garry Youd. Allan Smith was not returned to council.
